If you don’t know your gluts from your pecs, this book will really help. It’s one of the first books I picked up to study for my NESTA Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) designation.
With lots of color illustrations, you’ll not only learn human anatomy, more importantly you’ll see exactly which muscles are worked by some of the more popular exercises.
The book is organized by muscle group with each chapter containing a number of popular exercises (ie: bench press, push-up, body-weight dips, cable crossover, etc). For each exercise listed, there’s a color illustration showing exactly which muscles are being worked as well as their names.
This is a great reference book for anyone seriously interested in fitness.
